Cronier Rose: An attractive soft pink colour, with a bouquet of rose petal, strawberry and cloves.

 

Lambrusco Rosato, Fiorelli,Italy

 

Pavillion Shiraz Rose, South Africa, 2011: The Shiraz grape lends itself perfectly for making of great rose wines. The nose showing fresh red summer fruit combined with a hint of tropical flavours. The palate is balanced and refreshing with a touch of tannin firmness that’s makes this such a versatile wine, the perfect companion to a wide array foods.

 

 

Red wines

 

Malbec, Mendoza, Tilia, 2009: The nose offers bright black cherry aromas with light floral notes and a touch of toast. The mouth feel is full and rich, with ripe, concentrated casis and black raspberry fruit flavors interwoven with a touch of chocolate and sweet spice from light oak aging. This finish shows ripe, silky tannins.

 

Cabernet Sauvignon, Mendoza, Tilia, 2009: Has a dark purple color with ruby red tones. The nose is full of ripe red fruits, sweet spice and a touch of tobacco. The mouthfeel shows red currant and cassis fruit layered with notes of cedar and espresso bean. The finish is soft and sweet, with finely grained tannins adding structure and length.

 

Lambrusco Rosso Fiorelli,Italy

 

Shiraz Long Row, Angove, 2008: This wine is deep red in colour, with some purple hues. Ripe berry and plum fruit aromas with notes of spice and pepper dominate the nose. On the palate rich ripe black berries and plums precede fine soft smooth tannins and a good length of fruit

 

Cabernet Sauvignon, Franschhoek The Churchyard, 2010: The expressive nose has classic Cabernet Sauvignon flavours of roasted coffee beans and pencil shavings. The red berry aromas continue on the palate. The well-structured palate is classic in style and well rounded.

 

La Ciboise  Cote du Tricastin, Chapoutier, 2010: The ease of this wine’s vibrant dark cherry fruit is directly counter to the firmness of the stones underneath, holding the wine in an intriguing tension. A blend of 80 percent grenache with syrah, it feels earthy and real, a pleasure to drink.

White Wines

 

Franschhoek sauvignon blanc: classic Sauvignon Blanc has expressive aromas of tropical fruit, white pear and citrus. These flavours continue on the palate, the hallmark of good wine. The wine has elegance and finesse and the finish is clean and crisp.

 

Riesling, Long Row, Angove,2010: Bright and crystal clear with pale green hues, the wine is crisp and fresh on the palate with great length and moreish sweet fruit. Lovely now but with the potential to age for many years

 

Hand Picked Viognier Bernard Series, 2007: The nose shows some aromas of pear and rose petal. Rich aromas and a hint of sweetness balnsed by racy acidity on the finish

 

Cronier chenin blanc: Full fruity nose with whiffs of pineapple, pear and honey. Citrus, nettle and honeyed tones on a soft dry finish.

 

Sauvignon Blanc Caliterra,chile: Its dry fresh and zesty with creamy ripe tropical fruit, line acidity and soft easy drinking character

 

Tilia chardonnay: Shows a straw – yellow color with light shades of green. The nose presents ripe tropical fruit aromas with citrus and floral notes. The mouthfeel is full and rich, with concentrated pear and fig fruit flavors with layers of vanilla and sweet spice from light oak aging. The finish is clean and fresh with bright, crisp acidity.
